Cold that stops moving
When a Viking in a Bellevue kitchen runs warm on the fresh-food side while the freezer stays hard, the compressor is usually doing its share. The trouble is getting that cold to the food.
This band takes in the fans that push air over the cold coil, the fan that cools the condenser, and the defrost heater that clears frost from the coil, with whatever switches that heater on and off. Why ice matters
A failed defrost does not show at once. Frost thickens on the coil day by day until air can no longer pass, and by the time the food feels warm the coil may be a solid block.
